Here is another mameluke with the same style of scabbard construction that I discovered in my files. It has an inscription stating "From Major General Lord Paget to his Aide de Camp, Captn Diggens, 11th Lt Dragoons, Feby 1802". The photo was from a Wallis and Wallis Sale in 2015.

G'day Guys,

Had a bit of time the other day so decided to look for a G stamp on this sword. There is something there, but it is low down on the ricasso and very difficult to photograph under the langets. Could easily be a GG stamp.
